About Greenfields NF Ulf

Ulf is a young colt to be gelded by Greenfields NF Lodur out of Greenfields NF Oda. Born in mid October as a very tall leggy colt, the hope is there that he should mature in the mid 14hh bracket, however time will tell. His parents are both a nice more athletic rather than drafty type and we expect him to take nicely after them. His full sister from last year certainly looks to follow that intention. 

Greenfields NF Ulf will be taught to tie up, has already commenced his journey with the farrier, will be taught to enjoy baths and all other basic handling skills commensurate with his age. He is in a herd with his mum and the three other foals born this season and their mums, so focus is on allowing him to be a well rounded foal growing up in a healthy herd situation. Ulf will be receiving his tetanus/strangles vaccinations prior to being gelded, and will be gelded prior to weaning. He will also have his initial Hendra vaccinations. Ulf is expected to be weaned in late April 2025 and will be able to go to his new home after that.

This outgoing and super friendly playful young boy is looking for a home prepared to educate him slowly over the years, being patient enough to not commence his ridden work until he is 4 years old. We are offering the opportunity to purchase this beautiful boy on a payment plan while he is still on his mum at no extra upkeep fees until weaned. Once weaned he can either be relocated to your home, or we can offer continued care in the herd for a fee if such should be desired. Happy to discuss this option with any interested party.

All horses are sold under contract developed by HorseForce. We urge you to request a copy of said contract as part of your due diligence. 

We welcome vet checks on our horses, and are happy to assist in facilitating such checks. We would prefer vets selected for vet checks to be within an 80km radius of Upper Orara due to time allocation as most require us to travel the horse to them. Greenfield’s Stud has a pre-existing ongoing customer relationship with Pacific Vetcare, Equine Veterinary and Dental Services (EVDS) and Midcoast Vets for reproductive services.
