About Greenfields NF Rune
Rune is out of Hiraeth Carys by Te Klein Ike and is a beautiful rising three year old gelding with an in your pocket nature who loves cuddles. He’s playful and athletic and he’s got a bright future ahead of him in any discipline once mature to commence work. Expected mature height is assumed to be in the mid 14hh range.
Rune is a well socialised horse who is currently managing his own little bachelor herd. He is kind and gentle with anyone and is not particularly herd bound, although being young he does prefer having horses within sight line. He is appreciating having two other herds close by and tends to maintain his herds location so he can keep track of the other herds.
Rune hard ties, leads, loads and has been washed a few times and had one trip on the float. He’ll stand all day for a groom and is good for the farrier who can trim his feet with an angle grinder. He will allow you to trim his mane at liberty in the paddock in between kisses and cuddles. He’s a brave young horse if you allow him the time and space to figure things out, and I believe nurturing that side of this young gelding will give you a very confident and courageous mount in the future
As he is so young Rune will only be sold to someone with experience with young horses and the buyer must be willing to wait until he is 4 years old before breaking to saddle or doing any hard work. Having said that, now is the perfect opportunity to commence your ground work to build your future superstar. I would love for Rune to get a home where he gets exposed to lots of fun experiences at his tempo and we’re ideally seeking a home that wants a future performance horse and wishes to offer Rune a forever home.
All horses are sold under contract developed by HorseForce. We urge you to request a copy of said contract as part of your due diligence.
We welcome vet checks on our horses, and are happy to assist in facilitating such checks. We would prefer vets selected for vet checks to be within an 80km radius of Upper Orara due to time allocation as most require us to travel the horse to them. Greenfield’s Stud has a pre-existing ongoing customer relationship with Pacific Vetcare and Equine Veterinary and Dental Services (EVDS).
